Superb Hida beef in Takayama. We couldn't be bothered looking for the place recommended by The Lonely Planet and this place looked alright especially with the big cow out the front. This was a grill your own steak place. Here we are grilling the wonderfully fatty Hida beef. This stuff is far superior to any of the wagyu we get in Oz. This is tender and succulent and sinfully delightful. Not expensive either. With drinks the okanjo, or bill, came to be around 8000 yen.
